Follow Instructions Below:
1. Add the following lines to your
c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
(start your notepad/editor as administrator (right click, start as administrator (Vista/Win7), than you can open and save the hosts file)

2. Now install Market Samurai
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE MS INSTALLED AND THE TRIAL VERSION HAS EXPIRED Follow the instructions in STEP 3, 4 and 5. If this is the first time you are installing MS MOVE TO STEP 6.

3. First go to
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data
(or use search function to find the folder) depending the username you have created it would be like
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Application Data
Vista and Win 7 users: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming

4. Inside Application Data folder you will see a folder with a name like this MarketSamurai.6E37012E1CBD7F47B14488FCC715944F3EB. 1

5. Just delete the folder. Now uninstall Marketsamurai using a normal uninstaller (OR from the Control Panel > Add or Remove programs).

6. Install the new copy of MS

Now...
Copy activation.key and proxy2.cache from the patch folder into the folder below (patch is as attachment)
c:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Application Data\MarketSamurai..1\Local Store\
Vista and Win 7 User-> C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\MarketSamurai..1 \Local Store\

Disable your net connection for a second (start > all programs > accessories > communications > network connections > right click the correct connection and disable).

Then run MS. Then GIVE IT A MINUTE! It will log into the program. Then re enable your net conection and use as normal.

IMPORTANT NOTE !!!!
EVERY time you like to start the program, you have to deactivate your internetconnection.
Open MS, open your project (or create a new one) and after that, you can reactivate your internetconnection.
Or block the communication to 74.53.67.187 in your Firewall
This can be done in windows firewall advanced settings by creating a new rule that blocks that ip address or in a third party firewall that supports blocking an ip address on its own.
Do not block the entire program from the internet or you will need to unblock it once it has launched for it to work properly. eg. if your using zonealarm, make sure market samurai has access to the internet as a 'program' and as a 'server'. .

PROBLEM: I don't see the folder/file AppData or drivers\etc...
Answer: If you don't see the folder, than you have to check, that you see your hidden files
Go into your Explorer, tools, folder options, view -> "show hidden folder files and folders" mark it, than click OK.

PROBLEM: There isn't any Roaming\MarketSamurai..1\Local Store\ Folder
Answer: Open one time your MS, than MS create this order

PROBLEM: The program starts, but ask for registered email and key
Answer: You have forgottento copy the patch in the folders or you didn't block the "call home" function.

PROBLEM: Whats with my old projects? Can i backup it?
Answer: Sure, search on your disc for: *.msam files, thats your Projects


PROBLEM: I have a old version from here (0.85), what can i do?
Answer: Download the new program, install it, finished.

MY personal opinion and MY personal experience:

I disconnect before i start the program, i didn't block it via firewall.
I didn't have ANY problems with showing SEOC/SEOTC.
Rank tracker also work.

thanks a lot tami6699. You're pretty quick. Well I use Windows Firewall to block MS, but I never faced any problems with SEOC/SEOTCR.

I think people are not creating the rules properly and hence ending up with a fault application.
